'Once Upon A Time' Season 6 Spoilers: Regina To Resent Zelena As The Mother Of Robin's Child?

"Once Upon a Time" season 6 won't air until fall, but one of its lead stars, Lana Parilla, already has a lot of questions that need answering regarding her storyline for the upcoming season. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Parilla opened up about her character Regina and how Zelena being the mother of the former's lover Robin will impact the sisters' relationship down the line. In "Once Upon a Time" season 5, Regina and Zelena finally reconciled. However, Parilla speculates that this truce might end up being temporary due to the introduction of the late Robin's baby, whose mother is Zelena.

"Will Baby Robin be magical? Will Zelena and Regina continue to have a healthy relationship now that they've reconciled? Or will Regina end up hating Zelena for being the mother to Robin's baby? I'm curious to see what's going to end up happening in that regard," the actress told the publication. She continued, "Will she end up growing resentful that she can't have children, but yet her sister has her boyfriend's baby? I feel like that's a story to be told. Are they going to stand side-by-side in a sisterhood or is Regina going to grow resentful overtime?" According to Parilla, it looks like Regina will continue to mourn the loss of her lover Robin even in season 6 of the ABC series. "I think mourning will continue, over time. Regina is a very private person, she doesn't really share a lot of what's going on inside. Internally, she's conflicted by so many things that she doesn't even talk about. So I'm curious to see how she deals with this loss at this stage, at this time in her life. There's been so much evolution, she's come so far, she's been in the shoes of the hero for the last couple of years, so I'm curious to see how she's going to handle this big loss," she told TV Line last month.

"I feel like Regina is in a hopeless place right now, and we're going to see how she deals with those emotions in the season finale and also in Season 6," she continued. Parilla also previously talked about the Evil Queen coming into existence in the present day and her thoughts on playing two roles in "Once Upon a Time" season 6. "I think it's still being discovered by all of us. Really, what it is, it's not split personality, but it's like two separate Reginas. The Evil Queen and the hero Regina. So it's gonna be really fun to play both sides in a different way than I have in the previous five seasons 'cause I've always played two sides. She's always been both, but she's never been split," she told EW (via Enstarz) in an earlier interview. Parilla also shared the most surprising feedback she's received from fans about her character Regina. "That Regina inspires them," she said. "Which I love, because she's like this horrible, murder villain and yeah, but she's come full circle and she's worked on herself and that's inspired so many - that good can come from broken is really her message."
